Sarah Beecham brings 35 years of experience in the lab world to Industry Lab Diagnostic Partners.  Sarah is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, who is licensed in the State of Tennessee as a General Laboratory Supervisor and has national accreditation with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.  Sarah’s intimate knowledge of lab testing and her unbridled leadership abilities allowed her to spend over 15 years as a Laboratory Director at both Hermitage Medical Center in Shelbyville, TN and TriStar Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN.   She conveys a sense of comfort with her extensive experience in laboratory regulations and compliance through her interaction with CLIA, the State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board, COLA, CAP and the Joint Commission.  As assistant Lab Supervisor for ILDP, a sample of Sarah’s daily tasks would include running drug screens, performing qualitative and confirmation testing along with interpretations and communicating with clients.

After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS in Medical Technology, she received her technical training at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Although her greatest interest at the time was in Chemistry and Blood Banking, she was sought after as a generalist to work in many regions of the state.  As employers recognized her leadership ability, a seed was planted and she returned to MTSU to pursue a MBA, while still working full time, in preparation for laboratory management roles. ILDP is fortunate Sarah wished to return to hands on laboratory work and wanted to expand and share her knowledge in the field of toxicology.

Sarah resides in TN and has three grown children: Jeb, an attorney, Becky, a Navy veteran and paralegal, and Ben, a veterinarian.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, trivia games, scrapbooking, watching baseball (can anyone say Atlanta Braves), and (subtly) hinting that grandchildren would be welcome.
